Clyde Meredith

We received the following letter this week from H.A. (Harry) Burnett, Alhambra, Calif. It tells of the death of Clyde Meredith, a former residento of Van Buren Co.
The letter:

Alhambra, Calif.
Oct. 12, 1972

"I received a call last night, telling us of the death of my brother-in-law, Clyde E. Meredith of Wenatchee, Wash., who was born and raised near Bonaparte and at one time owned and operated a cafe there.

"Clyde E. Meredith was born in Bonaparte, Iowa, Sept. 3, 1882 and passed away Oct. 11, 1972 at Wenatchee, Wssh. He is ssurvived Wenatchee, Wash. He is survived by his wife, Katherine; one son, chee; one sister, Grace Pedersen of Santa Barbara, Calif.; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Services and burial were in Wenatchee."

Harry continued:
Hope everything is going well with you and wife and family. We appreciate getting the Record-Republican and read it from cover to cover. We missed you at the Memorial Day dinner this year. I believe I read where you were out of town. Lord willing, we hope to make it again next year."
