STANDLEY, SAVAGE, HARTER, BROWN, MCNAMAR

Mrs. Ethel Standley

Mrs. Ethel Standley, 84, longtime resident of Van Buren County, died at 6 a.m. Friday, Oct. 6 at the Van Buren Memorial Hospital in Keosauqua where she had been a patient since August.

Funeral services were held Sunday at 4 p.m. at the Hickory Grove Cemetery, northeast of Stockport. Burial was in Hickory Grove Cemetery. Pedrick Funeral Home, Douds, was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Standley had been a longtime resident of the Stockport community before moving to Keosauqua in 1957. For the past year she had made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Arlene McNamar, Keosauqua. Mrs. Standley was a member of the Friends Church in Fairfield.

Ethel Standley was born in Henry County, Jan. 30, 1888. She was the daughter of Foster and Martha Savage Harter.

Her marriage to Roy Standley took place Nov. 27, 1907. He died in 1957.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Wilma Brown, Quincy, Ill., and Mrs. McNamar, Keosauqua; and one grandson.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Standley was preceded in death by one daughter, one grandson and a brother.
