Edward Cassaidy

Edward Cassaidy, 85, of Bonaparte died at 5:45 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 1, in Van Buren County Memorial hospital in Keosauqua.

He was born Nov. 5, 1886 at Bonaparte, the son of the late John and Mary Welch Cassaidy.

He was married to Rena White on May 11, 1918 at Bonaparte. He was a retired farmer.

He is survived by two sons, Esmond of Kansas City, Mo. and Arlet of Waterloo, Ia.; one daughter, Mrs. Myrna Hutton of Houston, Texas; two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Miller of Bonaparte and Mrs. Alice Watts of West Branch, Ia. and six grandchildren.

His parents, wife, one brother and two sisters preceded him in death.

The funeral service was held Oct. 3, at 3:00 p.m. at the Carl Wilson Home in Bonaparte, the Rev. Kenneth Harden officiated. Burial was in Christy Cemetery, Bonaparte. Miller-Hofbauer Funeral Home had charge of the service.
