Richard Riggs

Word was received by Clay Lanman of Keosauqua Thursday, August 3, from Ernest Jordan, former superintendent of Keosauqua Public schools, that Richard Riggs of Hacienda Heights, Cali. had died the day before of a heart attack. Mr. Riggs was a band and vocal instructor in the high school for 5 years and directed the choir at the United Methodist Church at Keosauqua.

A memorial fund has been established at the church to be given to Mrs. Rex Strait or to the Heart Association through Katherine Catcott who is local Memorial Fund chairman.

Friends remember Dick best for his exuberant joy and selfless perfection in music.
