Mrs. Neva I. Johnson

Mrs. Neva I. Johnson, 77, of Argyle died Monday, July 10, at 12:05 a.m. at Sacred Heart Hospital, Ft. Madison after a lengthy illness.

She was born July 21, 1894 at Farmington the daughter of Peter and Anna Taylor Cappleman.

She married Wayne B. Johnson April 9, 1917 at Keokuk. He survives.

A resident of Argyle since 1944, she was a member of the Argyle Presbyterian church.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, Donald D. Johnson of Farmington; two daughters, Shirley Case of Argyle and Pearl Severin of Niles, Ohio; two sisters, Elizabeth Bishop of Highland, Calif. and Edna Brink of San Bernardino, Calif.; 14 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, one daughter and three brothers.

The funeral service was at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 12, in the Presbyterian church at Argyle. The Rev. William McConnelee officiated. Burial was in the Embury cemetery. The Miller Hofbauer Funeral Home, Donnellson, was in charge of arrangements.
