GOVE, GULICK, VANCLEAF, BROWNLEE

Mrs. Ella Gove

Funeral services for Mrs. Ella Gove, 96, who died in the Holden Nursing Home in Keosauqua at 9 p.m. Nov. 17, were held Saturday in the Keosauqua United Methodist Church.

The Rev. James M. Ford officiated with burial in Purdom Cemetery in Keosauqua. Catcott Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Ella Gulick was born May 20, 1875, at Raritan, Ill., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Van Cleaf Gulick. On May 31, 1893 she married Charles Benjamin Gove in Raritan. He died in 1947.

She is survived by two son, Gordon and Lowell, and one daughter, Mrs. Clairer Brownlee, all of Keosauqua; three granddaughters, 12 great-grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren. An infant daughter, Mildred, preceded her in death.

Mr. and Mrs. Goe moved to Iowa in the early 1900's and lived on a farm south of Keosauqua. They moved to Keosauqua in 1943.

Mrs. Gove was a charter member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Royal Neighbors and was a member of the Rebekah Lodge.

A memorial fund has been established. Donations may be left at the Catcott Funeral Home.
