Mrs. Lurinda Tripp
Mrs. Lurinda Idel Tripp, 83, Ann Arbor, Mich., formerly of New London and Lee county, died Thursday, Nov. 4, at the Huron View Lodge nursing home, Ypsilanti, Michigan.
Mrs. Tripp was born Dec. 30, 1887, at Macomb. On Aug. 1, 1919, at Kahoka, Mo., she was married to Solomon Tripp, who died Oct. 19, 1961.
Mrs. Tripp was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Surviving are three sons, James and Norman Tripp, both of Ann Arbor, and Everett Anderson, Palestine, Texas; nine daughters, Mrs. Clara Gwyn, LaJunto, Colo., Mrs. Helen Gilnausen, Bellingham, Wash., Mrs. Violet Brown, New London, Mrs. Frieda Laymanse, St. Paul, Minn., Mrs. Ruth Lentz, Everson, Wash., Mrs. Edith Milner, Ann Arbor, Mrs. Virginia Kidel, Soquel, Calif., Mrs. June Scearcy, Bentonsport, Iowa, and Mrs. Alice Lee, Brookhaven, Miss.; a brother, James Towle, Brownsville, Texas; two sisters, Mrs. Frieda Seebock, Santa Cruz, Calif.; and Mrs. Florence Bellville, Pacentia, Calif.; and 53 grandchildren, 83 great-grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
Her parents were Charles Henry and Flora Minerva Kocher Towle.
Funeral services at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 7, in the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Fort Madison. A grandson, Elder Clifford Brown officiated. Burial was in the Montrose cemetery.
