Ray D. Hawk

BONAPARTE - Ray D. Hawk, 77, of Bonaparte, died Thursday morning in the Van Buren County Memorial Hospital at Keosauqua following a lengthy illness.

Born Dec. 19, 1893 near Birmingham, he spent most of his life farming in the Bonaparte his life farming in the Bonaparte area.

He was married to Etta Huff May 26, 1937 at Kahoka, Mo. She preceded him in death.

Survivors include a brother, Kenneth, of Bonaparte and a nephew, Bates Hawk of Lake Worth, Fla.

Funeral services were held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Bonaparte Baptist Church, the Rev. Gerald Ogden officiating. Burial was in the Bonaparte cemetery with the Miller-Hofbauer Funeral Home of Farmington in charge.
