Ralph C. Harter

Ralph C. Harter, 85 years, 11 months and 29 days, of Baudette, Minn. passed away on Sept. 1, 1971. Funeral services were held on Friday, Sept. 3 at 2 p.m. at the Evangelical Covenant at Baudette, with burial at Elm Park Cemetery. The Rev. Roland White officiated.

He was the son of Foster and Martha Harter, born Sept. 2, 1885 in Van Buren County. He was married to Minnie Peck in November 1907 in Jefferson County, Iowa. She preceded him in death.

He grew up in Van Buren County and in 1912 moved to South Dakota and lived there two years and then returned to Jefferson County, Iowa where he lived until 1944. He then moved to the Baudette community where he made his home. He was a farmer.

He is survived by one brother, Ray Harter of Keokuk, and one sister, Mrs. Ethel Standley of Keosauqua.
