Charlie E. Barker

Charles E. Barker, 104, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 9, 1986 at Elm View Nursing Home in Burlington. He was born Oct. 17, 1881 in Lebanon to James H. and Lurissa Jane Hill Barker.

He married Rose Widmer. She died July 20, 1960.

Surviving are Donald W. Barker of Iowa Falls, two daughters, Ione Brandon of Burbank, Calif., Pauline Powell of Indianola, one step-daughter, Frankie Beatty of Fairfield, five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Services were held Thursday, Sept. 11, 1986 at 1:30 p.m. at Priester Funeral Chapel in Milton, conducted by Rev. Ed Pool. Burial was in Sunnyside Cemetery in Milton.

A memorial has been established to the Sunnyside Cemetery Association.
