Madelyn Marie “Pat” Foor, 76, of Farmington, IA, passed away February 15, 2018, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

Born February 27, 1941, in Macomb, IL, the daughter of William “Bill” and Alice (StoneKing) Porter. On July 7, 1962, she married Terry Lynn Foor in Colchester, IL. He preceded her in death on August 26, 1991.

Survivors include one daughter, Tracy. (Rusty) McCoy of Christiansburg, VA; one son, Kevin (Emily) Foor of Coralville, IA; four grandchildren, Ryan (Kaytlin) McCoy, Jordan (Katie) McCoy, Tara McCoy and Ashley (Rodney) Justus; four great-grandchildren, Madalyn McCoy, Fletcher McCoy, Madison Justus and Mason Justus; one brother, Lloyd Porter of Roseville, CA, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband. Terry, and nine siblings.

Before attending Parsons College in Fairfield, IA, Pat worked at Colchester Savings and Loan. After graduating from Parsons College she taught high school business at St. Mary's Academy in Nauvoo, she later was correction officer at the Henry County Courthouse and retired from teaching at Harmony High School. Pat attended Farmington United Methodist Church and Bonaparte Baptist Church. She enjoyed golfing, horseback riding, listening to country music and attending shows at Branson as well as Silver Dollar City. She was an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan.

A funeral service was held on February 19, 2018, at Farmington United Methodist Church in Farmington with Pastor Mark Caston officiating.

Burial was at the Wapello Cemetery in Wapello, IA.

Schmitz Funeral Home in Farmington assisted the family with arrangements.
