Mrs. Milo Abernathy

Mae S. Abernathy, 79, who had been making her home with a daughter, Mrs. John Brody in Cedar Rapids the last two months, died Friday. She had been a longtime resident of Cedar Rapids until moving to Memphis, Mo., about 15 years ago.

Mrs. Abernathy, widow of Milo E. Abernathy, was a member of Faith United Brethren church. She regularly spent the winter in Cedar Rapids.

Surviving in addition to Mrs. Brody are three sons, Burl of Vinton, Cecil of Waterloo and Milo, jr., of Cedar Rapids; two other daugthers Okemah Mary White of Bradley, Ill., and Ivolee Heafner of Cedar Rapids; 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, two sisters and two brothers.

Services: pending at Gerth funeral home in Memphis. Burial: Milton, Iowa.
