William Bernard Allen

Wm. Bernard Allen, 72 died Thursday at 7:10 at the Bloomfield Mannor.

He was born in Davis County 16 Dec. 1902 to Joseph Barker and Annie Jane Bickel Allen.

He was a retired painter and paper hanger and was affiliated with the Pulaski M.E. Church.

On Oct. 4, 1926 he married Zella Gladys Snyder. Surviving are his widow; one daughter, Mrs. Laura Walker of Ottumwa; one son Charles Allen of Lincoln, Montana; one brother Lewis Allen of Liberytville; three sisters, Hildred Heither of Davenport, Lulu Gonterman of Bettendorf and Clara Ivans of Burlington; seven grand-children; four great-grand-children.

He was roceeded in death by two sons, one brother and two grandchildren.

The service will be Sunday at 2p.m. at Wagler's Funeral Home in Bloomfield with the Rev. J.W. McClellan officiating, Burial Pulaski Cemeter.
