Kenneth E. Hootman, 80, of Clark View Care Center died at 3:50 a.m. today, May 13, 1983, at the center where he had lived since May 1979.

He was born Sept. 27, 1902, in Van Buren County to Charles and Mina Kimall Hootman. A Fairfield resident since 1928, he worked for the city for 50 years before retiring. He married Marie Boughner Feb. 1, 1928, at Fairfield. She died March 5, 1980.

Survivors: sons Kenneth Richard of Rose Mead, Calif., Carroll of Green Bay, Wis., and Dewayne and Charles of Fairfield; daughters Rose Mary Rambo of Fairfield and Beverly Moore of Birmingham; 15 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; a brother, Fred of Fairfield; and sisters Georgia Bagby of Fairfield and Pearl France of Hedrick.

Service: 10:30 a.m. Monday at Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield, the Rev. Charles Kincaid officiating. Burial: Evergreen Cemetery.

Memorial: heart fund.
