Mrs. Ada Smithhart

Mrs. Ada Clara Smithhart, 71, Route 1, Stockport, died Wednesday, June 2, 1982, at 3:45 p.m. at her home.

she was born Dec. 22, 1910, at Keota, the daughter of Adam and Katherine Brinning Horning. On Sept.1, 1932, at Monmouth, Ill., she married Albert L. Smithhart who died Jan. 27, 1965.

Mrs. Smithhart moved to Stockport six years ago from the Pleasant Hill community. For 25 years she was a nurses aide at the former Kennedy Nursing Home.

Surviving are five daughter, Mrs. Donald (Beatrice) Thornton, Mt. Pleasant; Mrs. Ron (Joyce) Dorothy, Grundie Center; Mrs. William (Virginia) Butcher, Mt. Pleasant; Mrs. Gurvis (Peggy) Volner, Stockport; and Mrs. Ted (Margaret) Schinstock, Salem; one son, Ralph B., Ft. Madison; one sister, Mrs. Henry (Mazie) Manning, Wayland; 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Her husband, a brother, Floyd, and a sister, Elsie, preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 6, at 2 p.m. at the Beatty Funeral Home, Mt. Pleasant. Pastor Robert D. Wolf of the Round Prairie Baptist Church will officiate. Interment will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
