James T. Denning

James T. Denning, 62, of Augusta, died Sunday, April 29, in St. Francis Continuation Care Center, Burlington.

Mr. Denning was born Jan. 10, 1911, in St. Paul. He had been employed at the DuPont Company in Fort Madison for 32 years where he was a lab technician. He was a member of the DuPont Athletic Club, the Moose Lodge No. 579 of Burlington and was a veteran of World War II.

On Oct. 27, 1956, at Oquawka, he married Myrtle Basquin, who survives.

Also surviving are a son, James A. of Burlington; five step sons, Jimmy, Gary and Ron Green, all of Burlington, Gene Green of West Point and Monte Green of Farmington; three step daughters, Juanita Ochiltree of Oakville, Marquita Pallar of Burlington and Carol Glasgow of Donnellson and two grandchildren, 25 step grandchildren and 15 step great grandchildren.

His parents were Theodore and Gertrude E. Geers Denning.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Burlington Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. David Seitz officiating. Burial will be in Burlington Memorial Park.
