Mrs. John Short

Mrs. John (Frances) Short, 94, Pleasant Manor Care Center, died Tuesday, July 10, 1979 at the care center.

She was born April 9, 1885 at Milton, the daughter of Volney and Elsie Crath Nagle. On Jan. 23, 1923 at Mt. Pleasant she was married to John W. Short who died on Sept. 3, 1959.

Mrs. Short was a member of the Eastern Star and United Methodist Church.

Surviving are a foster daughter, Mrs. Robert (Phyllis) Johnson of Burlington; four foster grandchildren and two foster great-grandchildren.

Her parents, husband, four brothers and three sisters preceded her in death.

Graveside services will be held at Forest Home Cemetery at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 12, with Dr. Robert P. Robinson officiating.
