OBITUARIES
----------
MRS. MARY E. KILMER

Mary E. Daggs was born in Scotland county, Missouri, Jan. 4, 1835, where she grew to womanhood. In 1857 she was married to Austin Kilmer. Six children were born to them, the living being Mrs. Sarilda Perry of Fort Madison, Iowa; Mrs. Martha Alexander and Mrs. Laura Teter, both of Oklahoma, and Hezakiah Kilmer of Kahoka, Mo. Soon after their marriage they moved to a farm in the vicinity of Granger, Missouri, where the husband died June 26, 1906. Mrs. Kilmer remained on the farm until last summer when she moved to Mt. Sterling, Iowa. She was an industrious, thrifty women [sic], never quite satisfied with ease, though her age and disease demanded rest. The end came Tuesday, Jan. 10, 1911, at the age of 76 years and 6 days. Funeral services were held at Mt. Moriah church on Wednesday afternoon by Rev. W. J. Hamilton. The remains were interred by the side of the husband in the church yard.
