Lenora Black
FARMINGTON - Mrs. Lenora Black, 87, Farmington, died at 4:50 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 24, in the Van Buren County Memorial Hospital, Keosauqua, following an illness of several months.
She was born March 23, 1892, at Farmington and was a lifelong resident of the community.
On Sept. 13, 1930, she was married to John O. Black, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Black's only survivors are two nieces, Mrs. Mike (Margaret) LaBonte, Springfield, Mo., and Lauris Paden, Poquoson, Va., who were brought up in the Black home.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother and four sisters. Her parents were Phillip and Emma Lyon Berthold.
The body is at the Hofbauer Funeral Home in Farmington where final rites will be at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. David Hoffpauir will officiate. Burial will be in the Farmington cemetery.
