MRS. CARRIE MARRIOTT

Mrs. Carrie Marriott, 82, died Tuesday, Feb. 9 about 3 p.m. at the Farmington Rest Home, where she had been a patient three weeks.

The daughter of William and Elizabeth Snyder Lane, she was born near Stockport, Feb. 14, 1882. She was married to Winfield Hammons March 8, 1899, and he died Jan. 3, 1917. She was married May 24, 1922 to William Marriott, who died in 1952.

Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Grace Douglas of Fairfield, Mrs. Blanche Davis of Cedar Rapids, Mrs. Elsie Doan of Hillsboro, Mrs. Betty Glover of Kahoka, Mo., and Mrs. Dwight McCracken of Cantril, where she had resided since her husband's death; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Roy Decker of Burlington and Mrs. Dale Eyler of Stockport; 18 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral service was held Friday, Feb. 12 at 2 p.m. at the Catcott Funeral Home at Keosauqua with the Rev. E.S. Tschetter of the Keosauqua Methodist Church officiating. Burial was in Hickory Grove Cemetery near Stockport.
