MRS. LENA WATKINS

Mrs. Lena Margaret Watkins, Danville, Rt. 2, died in Burlington hospital Saturday, July 17 after a long illness

Last rites were conducted by the Rev. A.D. Foster, pastor of First Church of the Nazarene, at the Sheagren funeral home, Burlington, at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 20. Burial was in Long Creek Cemetery.

The daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Akey, Mrs. Watkins was born at Keosauqua on June 8, 1912. She was married to Dale Watkins at Memphis, Mo., on May 5, 1934. She was a member of First Church of the Nazarene and of the Nazarene Missionary society.

She is survived by her husband; three sons and a daughter, Rev. Leland Watkins of Leavenworth, Kan., Charles Watkins of Minneapolis, Minn., and Danny and Kathleen Watkins, both at home; four grandchildren; three brothers and two sisters, Fred Akey of Keokuk, DeLause Akey of Memphis, Mo., Mrs. Veda Eddy of Keosauqua and Charles and Alice Akey, both of Burlington.
