Mrs. Linnie Babbitt

FARMINGTON - Mrs. Linnie Edith Babbitt, 83 died in Van Buren County hospital, Keosauqua, Saturday at 4:15 a.m.

A native of Missouri, she was born in Clark county on Oct. 7, 1883, and was married to John Story on Oct. 8, 1899. Mr. Story died March 12, 1918, and on Nov. 10, 1923, she was married to John R. Babbitt. Mrs. Babbitt was a member of the Farmington Baptist church and of the RNA and the Farmington Cemetery Assn.

Surviving: The husband; sons Melvin E. Story, Waterloo, and Jason L. Story, Dallas, Texas; step-daughters Mrs. Bessie Wright, Des Moines, and Mrs. Helen Niles and Mrs. Frances St. Clair, both of San Francisco; sister Mrs. Inez Sharp, Alexis, Ill., and several grandchildren, step grand children, great-grandchildren, and step-great-grandchildren.

Services: Farmington Baptist church Ruesday at two, the Rev. Ronald Cochran, Greenglade cemetery, Miller Home for Funerals.
