Rex Workman

Rex V. Workman, 72, Fairfield, died Fairfield, died Friday, June 14 at 2 P.M. at Jefferson County Hospital after a serious illness of five days.

Workman was employed at the Louden Machinery Co. for 24 years before his retirement. He was born July 27, 1895 at Birmingham, the son of Girard and Emma Huber Workman. He was married June 30, 1921 to Mary Shipler, who survives. Also surviving are two children, Bill Workman, Solon and Mrs. Marilyn Jean Snakenberg, Ottumwa; three grandchildren; one brother, Fred Workman of Keosauqua; and two sisters, Mrs. Mabel Hickey, Bloomfield, and Mrs. Stella Archibald, Chugwater, Wyo. Two sisters and two brothers are deceased.

Mr. Workman was a veteran of World War I.

Funeral services were held Monday, at 2 P.M. at the Weston Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield with the Rev. Ned Gillum officiating. Burial was in Memorial Lawn cemetery in Ottumwa.
