ALBERT A. WILLITS
Albert A. Willits, 80, of Farmington, died Tuesday, June, at 4:45 a.m. in Blessing Hospital, Quincy, Ill., where he had been a patient two months. He had been seriously ill three weeks.
He was born Sept. 7, 1886 near Bonaparte, the son of John B. and Eliza Cummings Willits. He spent his life in and near Farmington. A retired farmer, he operated a shoe repair shop in Farmington for many years. He was a member of the Farmington Methodist church.
On Dec. 24, 1908 at Mt. Sterling, he married Lillie Folker and she survives.
Besides his widow, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Roy (Bernice) Hill of Quincy, Ill., Ms. W.J. (Beatrice) Martin of Charles City; a brother, Noah J. Willits of Cannon City, Colo.; three grandsons, Dale Martin, Bernard Moline, and Larry Moline; and five great grandchildren.
The funeral service was held Thursday, June 8, at 10:30 a.m. in the Methodist church, Farmington, with the Rev. Harold Schirm officiating. Burial was in Greenglade cemetery.
