Everett L. Davidson 1928-2017

Everett L. Davidson, age 89, of Birmingham, IA, passed away October 18, 2017, at Jefferson County Health Center.

A service was held October 23, 2017, at Behner Funeral Home with Rev. Phil Campbell officiating. Burial was at Maple Hill Cemetery, Birmingham, IA.

Everett was born August 30, 1928, in Macomb, IL, to Lloyd and Alice (Vogler) Davidson. He married JoAnn Cox on June 26, 1948, in Fairfield, IA. They celebrated 67 years of marriage before she passed away June 4, 2016.

Everett was in the National Guard and Worked for Michigan Wisconsin Pipeline as a lineman for over 25 years before he retired in 1983. He was a founding member of Birmingham Lions Club, volunteered on the Birmingham Fire Department, served as treasurer of Birmingham Free Methodist Church and on Birmingham City Council. Most important to Everett was spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Left to share Everett's memories are his three are his daughters, Karen (Derrick) Taylor of Fairfield, IA, Vickie (Richard) Wahl and Pam (John) Barnett, both of Birmingham, IA; six grandchildren, Nick Barnett, Casey Barnett, Keri Wahl, Staci Wahl, Kelly Morris and Shawna Fisher; eight great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandsons; one brother, Max Davidson of Bloomfield, IA; and one sister, Betty Thompson of Washington, IA.

Everett was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Alice Davidson; his wife JoAnn; his son, Steven Allen Davidson at infancy; one brother, Dick Davidson; and one sister, Patsy Davidson at infancy.

Behner Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
