Robert Allen Ritz, 69, of Rural Ottumwa, IA, passed away on October 18, 2017, at University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City, IA. He was born on August 11, 1948, to Henry and Marjorie Snelling Ritz in Douds, IA. Bob grew up in the Douds/Selma area. He served in the United States Air Force. After his honorable discharge, he did several different things for his career. He was considered a "jack of all trades' by his friends and family.

He is survived by two daughters, Donna Dovico of Selma, NC, Tonia Jones of Newton Grove, NC; three grandchildren, Allison Cubbage of Ottumwa, IA, Chelsea Lopez of Charlotte, NC, Sam Dovico currently stationed in Germany for the United States Air Force; two great-grandchildren, Timothy and Nicholas Cubbage; and three brothers, Denis Ritz, Jack Ritz, and Van Ritz.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Joseph Ritz, Thomas Ritz; and a nephew, Dwayne Ritz.

Per his wishes, his body has been cremated. Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 27, 2017, at Leando Cemetery in Douds, IA, with Pastor Phil Campbell officiating.

Pedrick Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
