FLOYD SMITH

Floyd Smith, son of John and Amanda Rhine Smith, was born October 12, 1894 near Cantril and died Sunday, Aug. 24, at his home in Cantril.

On October 24, 1931, he was married to Ethel Rech who preceded him in death on December 26, 1957.

He lived most of his life in the Cantril area. He had been a mechanic several years ago, he had worked at repairing small electrical appliances. When he was still working, he was the oldest living businessman in Cantril.

Survivors include one brother, Stanley of Keosauqua; five nieces; five nephews; other relatives and many friends.

Services were held Wednesday, Aug. 17 at the Cantril Methodist Church with Rev. Herbert Phillips in charge. Burial was in Maple Grove Cemetery.
