Mrs. Retta B. Perkins
The funeral service for a former Farmington woman, Mrs. Retta B. Perkins of Keokuk, was held Saturday afternoon in DeJong's Funeral Home, Keokuk. The Rev. B.L. Sweeney officiated. Burial was in Greenglade cemetery, Farmington.
Mrs. Perkins died Thursday, Dec. 21, at 12:15 a.m. in St. Joseph hospital, Keokuk. She had been ill four and a half years, seriously for a month.
She was born July 12, 1897, in Farmington, the daughter of Seth W. and Ammanda Mathies Ruark. She had lived in Keokuk since 1947.
On June 4, 1916, in Keosauqua, she married Clyde R. Perkins.
She was a member of the First Baptist church and the Royal Neighbors.
Surviving are her husband, a son, Billy F. of Farmington, a daughter, Mrs. Howard (Beulah) Mercier of Keokuk, two grandchildren, two brothers, Albert and F.M. Ruark of Keokuk, and a sister, Mrs. Bertha Watson of Fairfield.
She was preceded in death by a son, Dale Robert, a brother and a sister.
