Curtis Pryor

Curtis (Kurt) Pryor, 49, of Farmington, died Saturday, April 6, at 12:30 p.m. in St. Joseph Hospital, Keokuk. He had been ill 36 hours.

He was born Aug. 17, 1918 in Monroe County, Ia., the son of Ben and Alice Eastlick Pryor.

A resident of this area 13 years, he moved here from Waterloo. He was operator of the Farmington Fertilizer Co.

He was first married to Elsie Lewis. His marriage to Thelma Pilcher took place on Aug. 17, 1960 at Austin, Minn. and she survives.

Besides his wife, surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Gary (Sharon) Fett of Bonaparte and Mrs. Donald (Linda) Miller of Dunkerton, Ia.; his mother, Mrs. Alice Pryor Valentine; and 6 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, two brothers, and step-father.

The funeral service was held Monday, Apr. 8 at 10:30 a.m. in the Farmington Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. J. Bryan Jones officiating. Burial was in Oakview cemetery at Albia.

Miller's Home for Funeral in Farmington was in charge of arrangements.
