Mrs. Roy Gray

Mrs. Roy (Etna) Gray, 80, formerly of Farmington, died Saturday at 4 p.m., in a nursing home at Gulf Breeze, Florida.

The daughter of Harry and Ella Barton, she was born near Farmington, Dec. 23, 1887.

She was married to Roy L. Gray at Farmington July 14, 1914. The couple moved to Fort Madison in 1914 and later to Montrose. He died Oct. 2, 1963. Following his death Mrs. Gray went to Florida to make her home.

She was a member of the First Methodist church, the Woman's Society of Christian Service, and a fifty year member of the Silver Cross circle of Kings Daughters.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. James W. (Sue) Merritt, Eau Claire, Wisc.; a son, Richard L. Gray, of Gulf Breeze, Fla.; a brother, Merritt Barton, Dallas, Texas; a sister, Mrs. Sam Hartrick of Farmington, and 9 grandchildren.

Funeral services was held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Clements Chapel, Fort Madison, with the Rev. Phillip W. Cline officiating. Burial was in Greenglade cemetery at Farmington.
