Philip Feinberg

Mr. Philip Feinberg, age 57, of 1225 20th Street, Ft. Madison, died at 7 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 25 in the Iowa Methodist hospital in Des Moines where he was visiting relatives. He had been in failing health for several years.

Services were Jan. 28 at the Beth El Jacob Synagogue in Des Moines. Rabbi Marvin Pachino officiated. Burial was in Ottumwa.

Mr. Feinberg was born Dec. 8, 1906 in Klesche, Russia and came to the United States in 1919. He came to Bonaparte with his mother and other children of Mike Feinberg, who had lived in Bonaparte several years. Philip had lived in Ft. Madison since 1934 where he operated the Philip Feinberg and Son Steel Yard.

He was married to Clara Freed in 1932 and was a member of the Beth El Jacob Synagogue.

Surviving are h is wife; one son, Aaron; three sisters, Mrs. Sol Frieda Freed of Des Moines, Mrs. Harry Elsie Shapiro of Des Moines and Mrs. Charles Rose Leone of San Anselmo, Calif., and one grandson.
