Ruth Inez Taube, 79, formerly of Douds, passed away at her daughter's home in Henderson, NV, on May 10, 2017.

She was born April 24, 1938, in Van Buren County, IA, to Carl Johnson and Hazel (Meeker) Johnson. Ruth grew up on a farm outside of Douds. She graduated from Douds-Leando High School.

She married William “Bill” Taube on May 2, 1959, in Douds.

A homemaker, she also worked as a cashier at Marshalls in North Canton, OH, before retiring in 2005. Upon retirement Ruth and Bill settled in Ajo, AZ.

Ruth is survived by her husband Bill Taube; two children, Cindy (Lawrence) Aldridge of Henderson, NV, and Dale (Christy) Taube of Gardena, CA; her twin brother, Roy (Betty) Johnson of Keosauqua, IA; sister-in-law, Bonnie Johnson of Douds, IA; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Raymond Johnson.

A memorial service will be held at Good Shepherd Church in Ajo, AZ, at a later date.
