William A. Scott

William A. Scott, 82, passed away Tuesday, March 22 at the Iowa City hospital where he had been a patient. Mr. Scott had made his home in Bonaparte for a number of years with is sister, Mrs. Musette Easter. He was born in Davis county, June 10, 1866, the son of John W. and Mary Evans Scott.

He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Charles Wingatt of Cedar Rapids; a son, John W. Scott of Denver, Colo.; three sisters, Mrs. E.J. Hootman of Cantril, Mrs. Ida Laugh and Mrs. Easter of Bonaparte. He was precede in death by his wife and one son.

Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 9:30 in the Mrs. Musette Easter home in Bonaparte with the Rev. J.S. Ellis officiating. Interment will be in Elm Grove cemetery on Indianola road southeast of Des Moines.
