A Celebration of Life and potluck will be held for Raleigh "Butch Edward Annis, Jr. of Casa Grande, AZ., formally of Keosauqua, on Saturday May 20 beginning at 3 p.m. at Wildwood Park, Shelter house #1 in Ottumwa, IIA. There will be a balloon release at 5 pm.

Raleigh “Butch' Annis, 73, passed away May 1, 2017, at his home with his wife and best friend of 42 years, Lana Annis and five of his children by his side.

Raleigh was born May 2, 1943 in Ottumwa, IA, to Raleigh and Marguriete Annis. He is survived by his wife Lana; his children, Tracy Cardenas of Des Moines, Patty (Paul) Lefler of Cedar Rapids, Ricki (Dave) Krcmarik of Arizona City, AZ, Raleigh “Capp' (Nicole) Annis of Cantril, Cindy (Scotton) Mineart of Keosauqua, and Shelby (Tad) Runyon of Casa Grande, AZ, 19 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; siblings, Ed (Pat) Annis, Hiram 'Sonny' (Millie) Annis, Charles “Pete” (Darlene) Annis, Floyd “Butch" (Nancy) Annis, Michael Mike" (Carol) Annis, Jeffrey “Jeff"
(Connie) Annis, Marida Sickels, Joyce Large, Delores “Dee” Annis, Lynn “Sis” (Wes) Penniston, along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Shirley Eakins and Bonnie Penrod.

He served his country in the United States Air Force for four years. He worked various jobs until he followed his passion for being outdoors by working carpentry and building with his hands. Raleigh will be remembered for his love and devotion to his family and his love and faith in our Lord Jesus Christ; by those whose lives he touched, he will be greatly missed.
