Dorothy Edris Devlin passed away on April 18, 2017, less than two months before her 95th birthday, at the Keosauqua Health Care Center.

Born to Vera Violetta Procter and Frank Edward Devlin in Nanaimo, British Columbia, Canada, in 1922. They immigrated to the U.S. five years later, residing in Washington state.

Dorothy met and married H.W. Sisler in 1943 and lived in various locations worldwide due to his service in the United States Navy for 20 years.

Dorothy earned her bachelor and master's degree in social work from the University of Washington and worked in various aspects of that, her last area of work was with the Hospice Program, which seemed to be her favorite. She retired in 2002, and moved to Keosauqua and resided near her daughter.

She was preceded in death by an infant son in 1956, and is survived by daughter, Shelia (Dick) Bird, grandson, Nathan (Paula) Bird, two great-granddaughters, Kiera and Kaela Bird, all of Keosauqua, brother. Frank Devlin, daughter Alina (David) Wickline, niece, Kathy (Scott) Bowsher, two grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter and numerous grandnieces and nephews in Washington State.

Per her wishes, her body has been cremated and will be interred at a later date in Washington. In lieu of services, there will be a gathering of family and friends at the family home.
