Ida Mae Eckwall,84,formerly of Cantril and Fairfield died at 7:45 a.m. Tuesday, February 23,1993 at Van Buren Good Samaritian Center, Keosauqua.
She was born November 17,1908 in Mt. Pleasant to George and Ida Blythe Carver. She married Tom Martin, October 23,1929. He died November 19,1952. She married Ervin Eckwall, November 27,1959. He died March 28,1977.
She and Mr. Martin farmed near Cantril and she and Mr. Eckwall farmed near Fairfield.She had also lived in Cantril, Fairfield and Bloomfield.
Surviving are two sons, Wilbur and Dean Martin both of Cantril, two stepdaughters, Ermalee Teal of Ft. Madison and Virginia Beach of Denmark, Iowa, 7 grandchildren and 8 step-grandchildren, 19 great great-grandchildren and several step-great grandchildrn.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two stepsons, Walter and Miles Martin, four brothers and four sisters. Funeral services were held February 25,1993 at Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua.Rev. Kim Eanes officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Fairfield.
