Emma Hopp Pundt was born in Germany, April 10, 1875, and passed away at Downing, Mo., Dec. 2, 1960. She suffered a stroke Nov. 2, from which she never recovered.

She was the youngest daughter of Albert and Minnie Hopp. When she was five years old she came with her parents, to Scotland County, Missouri.

In January, 1895 she was united in marriage to Frank Pundt. To this marriage two children were born, Leslie Earl and Amy May. Leslie died on Sept. 30, 1920, and her husband preceded her in death on Aug. 13, 1945.

She united with the Methodist church at Upton when she was a young girl.

Mr. and Mrs. Pundt made their home in the Cantril community and in Cantril. In 1958 she went to live with her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur (Amy) Caddell at Downing, Missouri.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her father and mother, three brothers and five sisters. She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Arthur Caddell of Memphis; a granddaughter, Mrs. Floyd (Helen) Baker; two great-grandsons, Dale and Cone F. Baker; one brother, Albert Hopp of Memphis and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Memorial services were held at the Cantril Methodist church, Dec. 4 with Elder Herbert C. Shaw officiating. Mrs. Jim Charbonneau was the vocalist, accompanied by Mrs. Vera Fritz. Burial was in Maple Grove cemetery.
