Memphis, Mo., Reveille: Mrs. Geo. McIntosh died Sunday afternoon, June 16, 1907, of cancer, at the family home in this city. For many long months she had been a patient and constant sufferer. An operation was performed but it failed to prolong her life. Her maiden name was Alice May Wolf. She was born on Vernon Prairie, Van Buren county, Iowa, June 29, 1861, and died June 16, 1907, aged 45 years, 11 months and 13 days. She was united in marriage with Geo. McIntosh, Oct. 26, 1884. To this union were born five children--three of whom survive--viz: Harry, Nellie May and Leo, two having passed to the other side in infancy. Six years ago she suffered the loss of one sister and four years ago she lost a devoted mother, and leaves to mourn her departure the husband, three children, a devoted father and three sisters, all of whom were present at the funeral. At the early age of 15 she became a member of the Christian church and ever since she was a devoted christian. The funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Christian church, Rev. J.T. Shreve, pastor, officiating, after which a long column of vehicles following the body to the cemetery [paper torn] tenderly laid to [paper torn].
