Mrs. C.A. Carter received the sad news Friday of the death of Mrs. Lydia A. Stronk at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ida Hislop of Omaha, Nebraska, where she had gone less than a year ago. Mrs. Stronk was one of the early pioneer residents of Bentonsport, was highly esteemed and enjoyed the humble home and the companionship of her life long friends here more than the luxuries of a palace did it remove her from the old home. She is survivid [sic] by three daughters whose education was finished at the Bentonsport public school and later became popular educators in Van Buren county. They are Mrs. Ida Hislop of Omaha, Nebr., Mrs. Anna Myers of Memphis, Mo., and Mrs. Mrs. [sic] Clara Nedrey of Denver, Colo. Her husband died several years ago at the soldiers home in Grand Island, Nebr.
Interment was make [sic] at Omaha.
