MRS. JOHN FOLKER
Farmington, Ia., Feb. 2. - Word has been received here of the death January 16, at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, of Mrs. John M. Folker, 80. Funeral services were held in St. Mark's Methodist church, at 2:00 o'clock Saturday afternoon, Jan. 19, in charge of the Rev. Gillman, with burial in the Memorial cemetery.
Laura Alice Brabham, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Brabham, was born in Farmington, April 15, 1866, and grew to womanhood here. She was married December 3, 1891, in Farmington to John M. Folker. They began their married life in Fort Madison.
In 1901 they moved to Oklahoma City, Okla., and resided there continuously since, where Mr. Folker was a rural mail carrier until retired. He died about one year ago.
Those surviving are a sister, Mrs. Flora Morris of Eddyville, Iowa, and a number of nephews and nieces. Her sister was with her during her last illness. There are a number of distant relatives in and around Farmington.
