MRS. DAVID JOHNSON

Mrs. Carrie Johnson, 72, died Tuesday, August 9, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ellis Miller of Hillsboro. Funeral services were held Thursday at Mrs. Miller's house with interment in Hillcrest cemetery.

Mrs. Johnson was born in Indiana, coming to Iowa about forty years ago. She is survived by her husband, David Johnson, one son, Paul and one daughter, Mrs. Ruth Miller.

Carrie Taylor was born in Ohio. In 1898 she was united in marriage with David Johnson in Ohio and they came to Iowa, locating on a farm south of Hillsboro. About two weeks ago they came to the home of their daughter.

Persons from a distance attending the funeral wer Mr. and Mrs. Ben Harlan and daughter, and Mrs. Geo. Birchler of Des Moines; Mr. and Mrs. Ross Cramer of Rock Island; Mr. and Mrs. Harry Johnson of Iowa City, and a sister from Ohio.
