OBITUARY

Cyrus W. Nicklin

Cyrus W. Nicklin, 74 years old, died at 5 a.m., Saturday, January 16, 1933, at the home of his brother, L.H Nicklin, at Selma, Iowa. He was born at Centerville, W.Va. and came to Iowa at the age of 8 years. he was formerly a resident of Des Moines, but had lived in Selma for seven years. While he had been in ill health for 6 months his death was sudden.

Mr. Nicklin was married to Jennie Shelley in 1883. He is survived by his wife and three daughters, Myrtle at home, and Mrs. Mabel (Robinson), all of Des Moines; Mrs. Genevieve Marshall and three grandchildren of Monmouth, Ill.; also the following brothers and sister, L.A. and I.W. Nicklin of Selma, David of Eldon, Tom of Ottumwa, Eli of Emporia, Kans., Mrs. George Haney of Selma.

The funeral was held at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Selma Methodist church in charge of Rev. Wyatt, assisted by Rev. R.B. Hollis. Burial in the nearby Iowaville cemetery.
