OBITUARY

Mrs. John Buckner

Henrietta Dickson, daughter of Cynthiana and Henry Clay Dickson, was born in Missouri January 22, 1864, and departed this life at her home in Keosauqua, Iowa, Jan. 5, 1934, at the age of 69 years, 11 months and 17 days. She united with the Keosauqua A.M.E. church, of which she the last member, and the close of her life was the logical completion of the time allowed here on earth to prepare for that eternal home of peace and rest in realms beyond the skies.

In early womanhood she was united in marriage to John H. Buckner of Keosauqua. To this union were born nine children. She was preceded in death by her husband, John, and three children, Myrtle, Leona and Maud. The deceased is survived by six children, Clyde of Chicago, Biriard of Des Moines, Irene of Fairfield, Ed and Rosa of Keosauqua; one brother, Ben Dickson of Des Moines; one granddaughter, Geraldine Folson of Des Moines, and three great grandchildren, Betty, Jackie and Allen.

Funeral services were held from the Keosauqua Methodist church at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon in charge of Rev. M.E. Hayes. Interment was made in Purdom cemetery.
