Sgt. Charles Wolf

Mrs. Pattie Wolf of Hillsboro has been officially notified by the war department that her husband, Sgt. Charles Wolf, who has been missing in action since August 25, 1944, is now listed as dead.

As a crew member of a B-24 aircraft, he was taking part in a bombing mission from the Warde airfield on New Guinea at the time of his plane was shot down.

Mrs. Wolf and her daughter, Judy, who was born after her father left for overseas, are making their home with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred McCabe.
