Dear Ethel,
In reply to your invitation and wonderful letter to attend the Harvest Homecoming and to be a guest at the banquet October 1; I just don't fell that I will be able to make the attempt to go this year.

At past 94 (if I live till Dec. 2nd I will be 95), I begin to feel my age. I have always been so well received and so well treated that it is hard to give up. I agree with you most heartily that as we grow older that friendships grow fonder.
Sincerely,
Frank D. Carr
