Mrs. Emma Arnold

Emma Ellen Arnold, 86, of Wayland, Mo. died at 3:15 Friday afternoon, Dec. 20 in Graham Hospital, Keokuk. She has been ill for several weeks.

The daughter of Thomas and Ellen King, she was born May 20, 1877 in Kentstone, England. She married William Benjamin Arnold who preceded her in death.

She is survived by six daughters, Mrs. Virgie Campbell and Mrs. Vera Ridgley or Wayland; Mrs. Berna Gatton of Bonaparte; Mrs. Minnie Kirchner of Canton, Mo; Mrs. Velma Walls of Burlington and Mrs. Dorothy Bennett of Alexandria; two brothers, Fuller and James Mortimer of Alexandria and 17 grandchildren.

The funeral service was held in the Wayland Baptist church Monday, Dec. 23, at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Kenneth Sorden officiating and assisted by the Rev. Richard Adams. Burial was in the Frazee cemetery.
