Clark Yeager

KEOSAUQUA — Clark Yeager, 65, died in Van Buren County hospital at 4:30 p.m. Sunday. Death terminated a long illness.

Last rites will be conducted at the Burnett-Catcott funeral home at 2 p.m. Wednesday. The officiant will be Elder Herbert C. Shaw, pastor of the Christian church of Cantril. Burial will be in Oaklawn cemetery.

The son of Emerson and Allie Dennie Yeager, Yeager was born near Cantril on Nov. 23, 1875. He was a bachelor and a member of the Methodist church.

For nearly 20 years Yeager was employed at the International Harvester plant at East Moline, Ill. Three years ago, due to failing health, he retired and came to Keosauqua to live with his sister, Mrs. Lex Miller, and family.

Also surviving are a brother and two other sisters: French Yeager, Spencer; Mrs. Vere Towne, Kilbourn, and Mrs. Howard Bennett of Keosauqua.

Three brothers died previously.
