Carl H. Krenmyer son of Charles and Nancy Krenmyer, was born in Farmington, Iowa, Feb. 11, 1882. He graduated from the Farmington High school with the class of 1901. He spent a few years teaching in in the common school, and in the fall of 1904 he matriculated to Iowa Wesleyan University at Mt. Pleasant, where he successfully pursued his course for four years graduating in 1908 with high honors to himself and the school.

He was married June 20, 1907, to Miss Rose Brewer of Mt. Pleasant, who has shared in labors and triumps(sp).

One son was born to this union, Wendall Leon, who entered this life July 3, 1908.

He was engaged as principal of schools at Salem, Iowa, in the fall of 1908, which position he held for two years, when he was elected superintendent of schools at Morning Sun where he entered upon his duties last September, his services in that capacity proving very efficient.

He was converted in a Y.M.C.A. meeting in Keokuk, in Dec. 1903 and united with the Methodist Episcopal church in Farmington, Ia. July 10 1904. He has lived, continually since his conversion, a very consistent life and was recognized by all his acquaintances as a Christian gentleman of the highest worth.

He contracted typhoid fever and died from its effect April 10, 1911, at his home in Morning Sun, loved and mourned by a host of friends.

Those who are left to deep sorrow, are his wife, and little son; his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Krenmyer, and five sisters: Mrs. Addie Lowery, Mrs. Della Sowers, Mrs. Cassie Meredith, Mrs. Myrtle Lefler and Misses Matie and Hazel Krenmyer, and also a large number of other relatives and friends.

The remains were brought to Farmington, Wednesday and the funeral was held from the Methodist Episcopal church on Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 in charge of The Rev. J.H. Taylor, a special friend, assisted by the Rev. George Bl??? of Morning Sun and the Rev. (remainder missing)
