MRS. TOBITHA KESTER
Funeral services of Mrs. Tobitha Kester were held on Wednesday afternoon at Salem, Iowa. She passed away on Monday of this week just twenty-six days after she had celebrated her ninety-fifth birthday anniversary. Mr. and Mrs. John W. Persinger of Bonaparte attended the funeral services, he being a son of the deceased pioneer lady.
Mrs. Kester was born in Center county, Pa., on Jan. 10, 1838, and is survived by four children, her husband and one son having preceded her in death. The four living children are Mrs. Clara Fulton Burlington, J.W. Persinger of Bonaparte, Mrs. Mattie Weaver of Waterloo and Mrs. Mabel Johnson of Salem.
