Deceased Was Once Editor of The State Line Democrat

The funeral of Cass Liming was held at the M.E. church in Keosauqua Monday afternoon with Rev. Hayes in charge. He was 83 years and 2 days old and lived in Vernon several years, where he was highly esteemed, a good neighbor and Christian worker in church and Sunday School. His daughters, Mrs. Thera Behrens of Wabasha, Minn., Mrs. Lala Arnison of Jamestown, North Dak., Mrs. Susie Seeburg of Chicago, Mrs. Mabel Mangus and husband and son, Edward of Oskaloosa, and son, Bryan Liming of Wells, Minn., were all here for funeral. Interment was in the Pittsburg cemetery.

L.C. Liming

Funeral services of L.C. Liming were held on Monday afternoon at the Methodist church. Mr. Liming passed away on Friday. His health had been failing for some time. The family home during recent years had been in Vernon.

Mr. Liming was for years prominent in politics, being affiliated with the democratic party. During one of Cleveland's administrations he was publisher of the State Line Democrat while George F. Smith served as post office inspector. A life sketch of Mr. Liming will be published as soon as same is obtainable.
